Hi

I'm building an app using an online service called Appsmoment. I think they are hybrid apps because I can show my website inside the app.

I'm trying to use this JR link inside the app:

devocionmusical.com/audio/download/audio_file/191/he-desidido-seguir-a-cristo-por-maximo-nuez.mp3

The result is an android dialog to choose my favourite app to LISTEN the mp3 (attached image) but I want it to DOWNLOAD the song.

I mean, the link is for downloading.. is there any way to force android to DOWNLOAD the mp3?

Thankssss

Jamroom is just providing the file not choosing the app to open it with. Its some sort of setting issue with android. Check your default apps setting section if that system has one of those.

You might be better asking this question on the Appsmoment forum (assuming there is one).

It looks like Appsmoment are using Siberian to run their site. If so, then downloading an mp3 isn't something that will work on Android or Apple apps at the moment.

Having said that, you can try adding a source code feature to you app and include an iframe to a page where the link (not the file) resides, and have the link open in a new window, this might prompt your android to open the link via your browser instead of your app.
