I am trying to post something to my own forum, a support tip.

I uploaded an image, etc. but it is giving me the error "You have entered an invalid value for "text" - value must be numbers, letters, spaces or punctuation and contain no HTML."

http://restministries.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/no-html.gif

I have checked my quota and it seems okay, but odds are there is another quota somewhere I need to update.

Where would that be for allowing images within a forum post?

I'm not able to reproduce what your seeing here. Can you check to make sure your all up-to-date from the marketplace.

If you are up-to-date, would you click that < > button on the editor and paste the code in to a [ code ] [ /code ] block here so I can try to see what your seeing please.

Is this actually 2 screenshots combined?...looks like you are in the form editor and the ACP admin settings...if so- you might open the form editor and adjust what output is allowed in the form...
I maybe completely off on this so pls disregard if its not correct :)

My site is a bit of a mess so I am closing this topic and starting over with a new one (same issue, different spot)

Bunch of possible stuff:
Your screenshot shows that you have "Community quota" selected with the allowed html in the list of 'allowed' types.
But- did you actaully try to post it AS a member of the community quota? Maybe not- because YOU are a member of the Admin quota...and any profile can only be in one quota. So...did you do this test signed in AS the community quota profile?- or else check the 'allowed' list for the Admin quota and for the regular member quota.

Also- I have not only "img" listed as 'allowed', but I put in gif, jpg, jpeg, tif, and pdf as well. Because yes. :)

and...not sure if you know, but you need to click on the little film strip (video) icon to add an image file- it gives you a tab for images. A bit unintuitive, but that's how it is.

thanks, @strumelia, it seems to be a common issue right now they are trying to figure out. I tried to post it as community and as admin (I am both) and both profiles have all the same settings/quotas. I couldn't even post here for a few days without getting the same error. thanks for the tip on images too.

You know when you do something multiple times a day for 2 weeks and then one day it just doesn't work. ack. lately it's been 1 step forward, 2 back. spinning my wheels.

You are moving forward. I have found that the spinning wheels thing is part of the learning process. :)

I know this has been closed but I've now got this problem :(

Have checked the quotas and 'Allow HTML' is ticked off for the 2 quotas we're using.

Either posting a new forum post or trying to edit an existing post.

We do have the WYSIWYG editor turned on.

I'm not seeing an issue.
Obvious question - are you sure the modules are fully up to date?

Quote: Have checked the quotas and 'Allow HTML' is ticked off for the 2 quotas we're using.
Which option (in which module) does this refer to?
