Hello.

We are new with Share This! Now our User tell us, that on facebook NO cover, details of the song or the player works.

What did we wrong? Our Server is Arvixe WebHosting.

What did we adjust on Jamroom?
What did we adjust at modul share this?
What did we adjust maybe at Arvixe?

Many thanks for your time and help!

Do you have a link to a FB page where the player is not playing?

Thanks!

If I am not mistaken you need to be behind ssl for sharing to facebook to work.

This is correct - you cannot share unless your site is on SSL. Contact Arvixe hosting - they can help you get setup with an SSL certificate.

Its not setup by default, I'll see if we cant get some docs up on the steps to take to get SSL setup on Jamroom Hosting.

One of the steps is to purchase an SSL certificate from one of the cert sellers. Its basically someone else who vouches that your site is your site.

This is off topic bit call it a discussion point.

With transactions occurring in 3rd party systems in Jamroom. Passwords already encrypted etc bar the facebook requirement are there any major reasons for going SSL bar piece of mind?

The main one would be facebook requirement.

Other reasons could be if you wanted to communicate securely with other websites. If i recall rightly, jamroom.net hosting the marketplace and having other sites contact it to download the updates is the main reason jamroom.net runs on SSL.

With the new upcoming HTTP protocols everything is going to be encrypted by default if I understand rightly.

No it is not, and requires us to manually set it up. Unfortunately there's no real standardization between SSL providers, and each can provide any number of "chained" or "intermediate" certificates, so we have to configure that part manually.

If you would like SSL on your Jamroom Hosting server let us know - we can help you get it setup.

Thanks!
