solved Audio Media URL Error

Hello
I keep receiving this error "An error was encountered loading the media URL" I uploaded the file, checked and cant get it to work.

Make sure you have updated to the latest Audio Module version 1.5.2 - there was a problem in conversions in the initial 1.5.0 release that could cause this. Try re-uploading the media and see if that works.

Still the same, giving me the same error .. reloaded mp3 file and cleared cache. I did have 1.5.2.

The songs plays for me in everything EXCEPT Safari - something is keeping the HTML5 player from working right in Safari - I'm not sure what that is but will do some testing here.

I was about to report the same problem and have seen this thread. I can upload mp3 files but when I try to play them it gives a message "An error was encountered loading the media URL" It was working properly before.

I use Slate-SiteBuilder skin and everything looks up-to-date.

Note: I can play the previously uploaded audio files without any problems.

I have same problem. An error was encountered loading the media URL. Only Internet Explorer 11 and only on my Vista machine.

On my Windows 8.1 it work fine (Internet Explorer 11).

I have uploaded using Chrome and IE. Both give the same error.

When I test demosystem on same machine (Vista) and same Browser (Inernet Explorer 11) it work OK.

This is because the Audio module has not been updated on that demo site yet.

I'm seeing the same issues so we will get this fixed up.

This should be fixed in the latest release, you'll want to update via your Marketplace. ACP > Marketplace > System Updates.

And just to add you'll want to re-upload any that are broken - unfortunately there was a bad section in the "cleanup" code that if there was a price set for the media item, the streamable version was being inadvertently removed.
