I guess I just don't understand how to use it (I've got a PDF file uploaded & I don't know what to do from there to get PayPal on it).

Make sure you have entered a valid PayPal email address into the Profile Settings for the profile you want to sell it from. Without a valid email address, the payment field won't show up. After you've added it, when you create/modify the file item you'll see a price field.

Also - make sure you've setup the PayPal module Quota config to allow for the quota the profile is in.

There is no module for ticket sales yet. You could sell tickets if you posted the tickets out, but individually numbering tickets for events system does not exist.

You could sell Files and add that file to the events so the file is for sale from the event page, but there would be no way to ensure that that file was only printed/used once.
