I have both the Youtube and soundcloud modules installed. When I post a link it converts it to the title of the song or video but it does not show the Youtube player or the SoundCloud player. You have to click on the link for it to display. Is there a way for the players to be shown with out having to click on the link like on Facebook or Twitter?

That's how the URL Scan module works - it shows the title, a simple click "loads" the player into the expanded section. This is done so all the embedded stuff is not loaded up at once (which can make the entire site become unresponsive - especially on mobile), but instead is loaded on demand.

We can look at adding some type of config option to "always show" the embedded items, but that could be a bit of work as it's not setup to work that way right now.

Hope this helps!

Hey Brian

What if it were done by type of Media? ie someone may want videos to show, but not other types of embeds?

Facebook does that for a reason, people are much more likely to click on an image then a bunch of words in a link. I would really like this option. Thanks guys!

This could be done (I think) but the option would be global, not per item type.
I'll put it on the list but it'll likely be a couple of weeks away.

Thanks Paul! Will it be released as a new module or an upgrade to an existing one? Can't wait!!!
