My shopping cart is no longer functional. I'm not sure why, as it used to work.

Could it be something the data center changed when they fixed the "poodle vulnerability" in the SSL 3?

I see the attached error.

That's a not found error, which indicates to me the URL is invalid. Are you sure that is the correct cart URL as it shows in the FoxyCart.com admin?

I have to leave now, won't get to this until tomorrow.

However, all of the settings used to work, so why would it not now? I haven't changed any settings since the last time I tested, that's what I don't understand...

That error is actually coming from FoxyCart's end - not from Jamroom, so I'd recommend opening a ticket or support request with them and find out of things have changed. Make sure you also check if you are running the new API version 2.0 - if you are, make sure you update your Global Config in Jamroom to the right API level.

Hope this helps!

Hi Brian,

It does appear to be something on their end, as I get a "not found" on their log-in page as well. I put in a contact request but no response overnight.

At any rate, I was looking at the documentation here - https://wiki.foxycart.com/v/2.0/upgrading

There is talk about code changes and so on that's way over my head, but I think it's meant for stand-a-lone sites.

Can you confirm that on the Jamroom end, to go from version 1.1 to 2.0, all one has to do is make the switch in the drop down box in the global config, and whatever code changes are required happen automatically on this end.

Which leaves whatever settings and changes need to be made on their end (when the log-in is fixed), and the cart should resume working at the new version level?

Yep - all you need to do is:

1) Go into the FoxyCart.com -> Settings and set your "Store Version" to 2.0
2) Log into your Jamroom and go to ACP -> FoxyCart and in the global config set the API Version to 2.0. Save your changes
3) reset caches

The module handles the changes needed for you.

Hope this helps!

Thanks - that sounds easy enough... I have started a dialogue with their support staff on the log-in issue, I will advise on the outcome...

I just setup version 2 on my dev site and I'm not seeing any issues.

I've got a bead on it now. My Google Chrome decided it didn't like Foxycart anymore, that's why I lost the ability to see the cart (even in version 1) and why I couldn't access their log-in page.

When I switched to Firefox and IE I could access. So now I'm upgraded to version 2, but still have the Chrome problem.

I tried deleting all history even cookies, and that didn't help. I'ts showing as up to date, so now I'm trying to determine if it's just my Chrome that got corrupted, or did the Foxycart site make itself incompatible with Chrome somehow?

I completely uninstalled Chrome and re-installed and the problem persists, but only with that browser.

Foxycart support suggest I try clearing this - http://superuser.com/questions/203674/how-to-clear-flush-the-dns-cache-in-google-chrome/203702#203702

That didn't help either, and I still have no confirmation as to whether this is a problem specific to my machine, or with Chrome in general. I'll keep you posted.

You might check that you don't have an addon blocking foxycart in your chrome browser.

Try disabling them one at a time and then check your cart.

Hope this helps! :)

I did get confirmation from the Foxycart team that they can't duplicate it (so far) so it appears to be something specific to my machine.

Therefore, eliminating addons is a great suggestion - thanks.

I'm going to drop this for now though, and come back to it after launch, since it seems to be isolated to me.

According to the Foxycart guys, this is a bug peculiar to my particular installation of Chrome. Nothing seems to fix it, but since no one else is experiencing it, I'm just going to ignore it and soldier on with a different browser. Thanks for the help...
