Search for a name that is in custom fields of jraudio but when i search with the sitewide search it does not pull in any of the content. Is this on purpose or overseen issue?

Would love for the search to view all the text fields of the modules, thanks

The search always includes custom fields for a module (it does not automatically include every field, since many fields are internally used fields only).

We use this functionality here on Jamroom.net and I'm not seeing any issues with it...

I created a field for description on jraudio, when I search for a word that was included in the description of jraudio. It does not come on at all. Except it is in the title

Try adding the field in the "Additional Search Fields" Global setting of the Search module in the ACP.

YOUR-SITE.com/search/admin/global/hl=search_fields#ff-search_fields

--update--
Quote: If you would like to have additional DataStore fields available for search, enter the DataStore field name, one per line.

Example:
If you have created a custom User Profiles field via the Form Designer called "profile_location" you would enter profile_location on a line by itself to enable that field to be searched.

Thanks Michael - sorry I should have included that in my initial response - it actually slipped my mind that for security reasons you need to configure in the search module as well.

Thanks!
