eddie:
I used jamrrom for many years, I have just come back to it after about 3 years absence! My how its changed! But I am having a BIG problem! How do I add Bands and allow them to upload their songs etc. (Like the old days). Its all so confusing now! I have only installed the core! What else do I need for multi individual band/Artist accounts???
Thanks
Eddie
Welcome back Eddie!
JR5 pretty much works just like JR4 in that regards - with the core installed you should already be setup for signups (i.e. with a different browser go to your site and you should see the "create account" link in the header).
Once a user signs up, they have their own "profile" - i.e.
http://yoursite.com/profile_name
Once they are logged in and viewing their profile they will see options - i.e. "Blogs" where they can create a new blog entry, etc.
Jamroom 5 is 100% modular now, and the free core is designed "out of the box" to be a blogging community (using the Lucid skin). If you're looking to create a full media site (audio, video, photos, etc) then you can install those individual modules form the ACP -> Marketplace (while logged in as a master admin).
We do have a large bundle called the "Super Pack" designed for JR4 users upgrading to JR5:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/bundle/9/super-pack
As you get A LOT of modules and skins at a big savings - and if you are a JR4 license holder we can give you an additional $50 off that price if you're interested.
Hope this helps!
