Hello! I have managed to confuse myself with the difference between a user account and a user profile, if there is one!

I want to invite "Joe Smith" to add documents to our tree. We both share "Joseph Smith" as a common ancestor, but we descend from different children of "Joseph Smith" so "Joe" is going to fill in his information that I don't have, and I am going to fill in my information that he doesn't have. WHEW. What is the best way to do this? I know you explained it to me, but I managed to trip myself up. LOL! Thanks - Lisa

You would create a new PROFILE called "Joe Smith". If you don't know the parents, then just create the user then UNLINK the profile from the parents (click on the small x in the relationships in the left side of the profile).

Next, create the User Account (from the admin drop down menu) and create their User account, and link it with the Joe Smith profile you created.

Hello!

After tinkering around with the profiles and accounts and testing them I set up a live account for someone else and she was able to update some stuff and add pictures! WHOOOOOOO!
