I've just updated the Genosis Marketplace with new versions of:
- Genosis Core
- Genosis Events
- Genosis Family Tree skin
There's a number of new updates and fixes in this new release I wanted to highlight:
1) All new Date Entry form field - entering dates in Genosis has been updated to use a combination of select drop down lists and text entry box (for year) - this allows the month names to be translated if needed, and also ensures the core has the best chance of being able to properly "parse" the input date.
2) Hundreds of additional language strings have been broken out into the language file now, and can all be found in the "Language" tab for the module or skin. This should help in site translations. Note that ERROR language strings are in English to help with support.
3) Several small bugs have been fixed, and things have been tweaked here and there to make things smoother.
Updating to the latest Genosis modules and skin is easy - just go into your ACP -> Marketplace -> System Updates tab, and update the modules and skins. Note that you may need to do a "Core" update first, but you will be informed of that if that is the case.
After updating all modules and skins do the following:
Admin -> Integrity Check -> run the integrity check
Admin -> Reset Caches -> Reset the caches (this activates all the new language strings).
