Here's one. You can see the .99 price but it shows the cart as empty after you click on it.

This is not using the PayPal module - this is using FoxyCart, and it's not setup properly. You need to go into your FoxyCart admin and make sure all the settings are correct.

Hope this helps!

I looked at all the foxy modules in my Admin and see nothing there to use paypal instead of foxy.

So, I went to My foxycart admin at foxycart.com. All my info is there.

The only thing I have not done is start a subscription. Is that what needs to be done?

So I think there's a little bit of confusion here. We have 2 modules for selling things:

- FoxyCart - I think this is what you have installed
- PayPal module - I don't believe you are using this, although your forum post indicates this is what you are using.

For FoxyCart, you need to enter your PayPal email address in the foxycart admin (this is on foxycart's website - not your Jamroom site).

Make sure you have followed this entire guide:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/modules/2/setting-up-foxycart-jrfoxycart

to ensure Foxycart is setup properly to work.

Hope this helps!

I have both installed. Just bought the paypal yesterday. I'm looking at guide again. Should I disable the foxy modules to run Paypal module?

Yes - if you want to use the PayPal module, I would disable the FoxyCart module and enable the PayPal module.

Hope this helps!

You'll want to enable the FoxyCart module, you can do that by going to the info tab. Then you see a Global Config tab that you'll need to update with your FoxyCart info.

Hope this helps,
Douglas

When, the Foxycart modules are active it try's to use the cart. I do have the globals config with my foxycart info. I do not have a subscription at foxy cart. So it is set to sandbox.

I really just want to use paypal module. But with foxy disabled or enable I do not get a buy it button.

The PayPal module provided by us does not support subscriptions, it only supports selling physical items and the site owner is not involved with the purchase transaction.

If you want subscriptions you'll either have to use the FoxyCart module, or create a custom module to suite your needs.

Hope this helps,
Douglas

Doug,

I want to use it so the artist can sell their songs and items directly not for subscriptions. The artist has a price of .99 cents on a song. They also have a payout address for their account.

Just not seeing buy it now button anywhere for the songs that are set to sell. With or without the foxycart be set.

The paypal module by itself is not showing a buy button for the artist songs.

Also, using the Nova skin.

Best Regards
Ed

Actually, I was wrong, the PayPal module is for selling digital downloads, so you should be able to use the PayPal module for what your wanting.

You'll want to disable the FoxyCart and FoxyCart Bundles modules as they don't work with the PayPal module.

Your artists will have to add their PayPal email address in their account settings.

Do you have a link to an audio track that has a price set that we can check out?

Thanks,
Douglas

Make sure the paypal module is enabled in your quotas and the profile has entered a PayPal email address in their profile settings - the but now button will not show without it.

That was it. The Artist had an email address set under account tab but did not also put their paypal payout email which is set up under the profile tab.

Thanks

Looks like it work great.
