solved Site News Category Question?

Is the site news category when posting a blog, By Design, Meant to let any quota with access to the blog module, To use that Category?

One of our artists has worked out if he puts his blogs into this category they will show on the front page.

I thought Site News was only meant to be used by the Site Owners?

If you set the site_news_ids in the skin config to just the admin ID, then only admin blogs with the category set to "site news" should show there.

Ugh. Never mind . I just worked out my partner in the site had posted as them.
So it came up as the master admin

I just tested this on my test site and I'm not seeing an issue.

I created a blog with the category set to site news as a regular user and it does not show in the Site News section on the front page.
