I am trying to embed some media in blog and its not working the way it should, I am getting a variable call in place of the embedded media when i make a post.

We can try to replicated on our end but we need a little more information first.

Which skin are you using?

Are you using the embed module to embed the media?

What type of media are you trying to embed?

what does "I am getting a variable call in place of the embedded media" mean? can you take a screenshot of it to help me understand please.

For the most part this has been fixed, make sure you using the latest version of the FollowMe skin.

There is still an issue with the playlists not getting embedded correctly, we are working on that.

I'm not seeing an issue with all embedded media except playlists on my dev site, and we're looking into that.

Make sure you've compared your cloned skin templates with the latest version of the skin you cloned from.

thanks but do i have to through each and every template in my skin and compare them with the updated versions ? that's going to take me the whole night. i have cloned 4 skins and i have really done a lot of playing around, it would be easier if the templates that are affected in an update would be listed in the change log so that people like me would know exactly where to go : )

no @douglas all i am saying it pretty hard for me to run skin updates because i have 4 cloned skins running on my website

what are the files that need replacing so that i can overwrite them in my cloned skin folder, this way my changes stay intact and i would not need to go through the hassle of redoing my changes .

We have a new system coming out soon to help you keep cloned skins up to date. Only templates that have been altered will show the COMPARE button. This should help you understand which templates have changed.

Usually when an embed tag shows like that its because the
Active Text Formatters : Convert Embed Tags

is unchecked here:
ACP -> MODULES -> CORE -> SYSTEM CORE -> QUOTA CONFIG -> Active text formatters
