I have installed Elastic 2 in a sub folder of a JR5 site because i want a forum set up JUST LIKE this forum
For instance when I view a topic in THIS forum it does not take me to the person who posted the discussions PROFILE page- it just takes me to the discussion...are there some sort of instructions to set up a simple forum just like this one her on Jamroom?

This forum is setup on a profile page called the-Jamroom-network.

Create a profile called something like community, put in it's own quota, enable forum for only this quota.

Install profile tweaks on your site, enable for community profile and set the profile temple to elastic2 (if your not using elastic2 for entire site).

when I installed the site I created the admin as "My Name"....now I see i should have created it as MY FORUM NAME... so i have created an account called MY FORUM NAME...trying to configure it...but i need to delete the account for MYNAME... been 3 hours now and cannot find a way to do it...got any advice for me?

How do i do this? ( error message) I "search" jamroom for " user account" and "user group" and find nothing
"You cannot delete a profile that belongs to an Admin or Master User!
You must change the "curtis" User Account to the "user" group before you can delete this profile."

You don't want to delete the admin account.

If you want to rename it, go to the modify account page and change the account name there.

Thanks Douglas...but now I cannot delete any of the profiles- when I click on them I get
"Error: invalid template: item_index.tpl, or template directory: jrAction
"UPDATE -seems it was something to do with quota...thanks...I will keep trying

Are you just looking to rename a profile? What are you looking for documentation on?
