Hi, i am trying to use form designer to edit some fields located on the profile forms. I am able add new form fields but i dont have control over the 'Location' field. I have created a chained menu that should replace the 'Location' field but i dont know how to replace it with mine.

That should help you setting up the Chain Select for a new form field.

Hi, I don't have an issue with creating chained menu and adding them in a form, the issue is replacing the exisitnng form fields located in the profile form. I want to replace the 'Location' form field with a chained menu but it's not listed in form designer .

It should be, I'm not seeing an issue on my end.

Make sure your looking at the correct form, profile/settings, and not the create form, profile/create. You can select that in the drop down selection at the top right.

The 'location' field is not a default field. Something has put it there. Either a module or you by adding it with the Form Designer.

If its a module, then its probably a field the module needs. You could try using the Form Designer, to DISABLE that field and add you're own field in.

hi, i reset the form and i am able to add my chained menu in place of the skin default Location, just notice that i have a second issue with displaying both values of the chained menu in profile info segment of a profile. How do i call both values and display them like so "State=Chicago, City=illinois " .

When you display them in the templates you can structure them however you would like. but in the form when the user is inputting them, you need to structure them in the way they are so the form designer can understand what they are set to when the form is submitted.
