Any way to make the Disqus work WITH the jrComments module?
I have installed Disqus but it seems to make a second comment box instead of working with jrComments
Any fix for this?

Disqus is a third party commenting system and is designed to work in its own right as an alternative to the Jamroom Comment module. In fact, it was one of the first JR5 modules developed as a quick commenting solution before we actually developed our own!!
What are you wanting to do that would benefit from having them work together?

I thought I would allow users to comment using Disqus without losing the thousands of previous comments on the the site

You'd need to import your jamroom (or previous system) comments into disqus.

https://import.disqus.com/

There are a couple of different accepted formats available at disqus, but you'd need to get your comments into one of those accepted formats to make the import possible.

Thank you Michael
I will look into this.
What I am after here-some forums where I have commented on the web had the Disqus button to comment AND had a Facebook button to comment and a few others- some how they all worked together to allow you to comment using your Disqus account or your Facebook account etc...
That is more or less what I am after but I dont wnat to lose my previous comments ( I will look into importing them) and i hate to lose my "thumbs up" gadget...:)

I haven't seen that double comments setup, Facebook and Disqus. If you could show me where its at, I could take a look to see what the system might be.
