Menu tab has two stars surrounding name

Hi - I have created a menu which has a name of FAQ however, when I save changes in the code it displays on th webisite as *FAQ* could someone tell me how to get rid of the * * showing.

Language strings are stored on the database and the stars are telling you that that string hasn't been created/updated on the DB.
Run the Integrity Check and it should fix this.

First, run a complete "Integrity Check/clear caches" from your ACP System Tools.
And read this thread concerning getting rid of asterisks in your menu tabs:

Thanks @paul and @strumelia. I still can not remove the * * from around the menu header. I have run the integrity check numerous times, it keeps crashing so I ran all the integrity check separately - not the module check as this keeps timing out :(
Still no joy. Not sure where to go from here . Any other thoughts

If the Integrity Check keeps crashing something is seriously wrong. Look in your error and debug logs and let us know what is there as a result of the crash.

My integrity check used to hang and freeze....forever.... in NeverLand when my site was on an Arvixe sloooooooow shared server.
