Is it possible to add templates to a skin via ACP? I was planning to seperatly track DJ profiles just like Artists and Members.
I've read that modifications done within jamroom are not overwritten when there is an update.

You can't create templates via the ACP, but if you create a template, that is not a default template, updates will not overwrite your custom template because the update won't have that template.

This is something I have had on my todo for a while - we will get this in a future update.

Unfortunately this is not true if you upgrade via the Marketplace.

HOWEVER, you should only be customizing a cloned skin, which in that case nothing is ever changed via an update (since you don't get updates from the marketplace for a custom skin).

What about for the modules (which are not being cloned like my skin)? I currently understand that if I customize/modify a template in one of my modules and then JR issues an update to that module, I can go ahead and update the module from my ACP and it will not override or remove my template mods in that module....this is correct?

As long as you make the modifications in the "templates" section, then you're fine. If you add a template via SFTP into the modules/ModuleName/templates directory as a FILE then no - when you upgrade that template would no longer be found.

So as long as you're doing it in the templates section of the ACP you'll be good.

Hope this helps!

Including 1 or 2 blank templates in the each skin can help in the meantime.
