Jamroom Core 5.1.4 + PayPal Buy It Now

Just a quick note that:

- Jamroom Core 5.1.4 + Marketplace 1.0.5 have been released into the marketplace to address a couple issues that have come up - updates are available in the Marketplace -> System Updates section on your JR5 site.

- The new "PayPal Buy It Now" module has been released - I know many of you have been asking for a simple way to allow your profiles to sell their media items through PayPal, and the "Buy It Now" module does just that - all payments go directly to the profile selling the item. Note that it is not a replacement for the FoxyCart module - if you need full subscription support, or cart support, you'll want to use the FoxyCart module. The PayPal module is designed for media purchases only.

If anyone has any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks!

Do you need an excuse? How about "you just like us and want to send us money"? ;)

Looking at this a little more, I don't see why it could not be used to support "physical" items - but the only physical item module we currently offer is the Merchandise Store module, which is heavily integrated with the FoxyCart module. If you've built a custom module (or a cloned with Aparna) then it's something we could look into for a future release.

Hope this helps!

Are you saying the Paypal module doesn't support physical items at this time, but might be cloned and made to do so with some modification?

physical items usually require some back-and-forth to get the delivery started.

If your happy with just receiving a $$ sum and the message that comes in with the paypal payment, it should work.

The merchandise system has a back-n-forth message system for merchandise.

And it says everything is up to date?
Using nova skin running 5.1.4

Any ideas?
Where can I find the paypal module?
Cheers :D

Click on the backstage link in Michael's reply - that takes you to the backstage forum which has the coupon code in it.

Hope this helps!

Awesome - glad to hear that :)

Thanks!

Me too Kyle.

I want to post how awesome it is each time I do it, but that impulse is fleeting, short-lived - click the button and it's done, not even enough spare time for a post or a cup of tea. (ftp = tea time)

I count it as a perfect new JR feature: I barely even have time to notice how awesome it is. AWESOME!!!

So I (slightly creepily) just say a little thankyou in the front of my mind to Brian and the Team each time I use it. Posting every time would be very creepy.

I'm not drinking enough tea though - is that a bug? Please fix it.

Thanks Paul, but you can always get a like from an english man by mentioning a cup of tea.

I don't really like like it buttons, although the module is pretty cool.

Profiles need to enter their PP email address before the button will show.
Also, make sure you are running the latest 5.1.5 JR5 - There's a new button system.
