I'd like to set up my Artist Signup page to include a monthly or yearly subscription price paid for on sign up with Paypal. Is this possible?

Yes with the foxycart module you can do subscriptions.

And you can configure [User Accounts]=> [Quota Config] in your ACP. Check the box to "ON" for the quota your selling the subscription to.

I just tested this for you and it seems I was able to sign up to my website to a paid subscription account and it did not charge me the subscription prior to access. It verified my account via email and I had access to the site as a subscription member. However when I tried to switch the subscription to another subscription class it said no prior subscription found. I think I may have found a bug here.

Yes, You would purchase the Foxycart Module from the Jamroom marketplace.

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/70/foxycart-ecommerce

You would also need to create an account and subscribe to Foxycart.

Their subscription charges you monthly fees to use their shopping cart. Their website and pricing can be found here http://www.foxycart.com/

Also Your customers can pay with Paypal with the foxycart module.

You need to make sure "Allow Signups" is NOT checked, or else users will be able to signup (for free) to your paid quotas.

I don't believe that you can signup directly to a "paid" quota - you need to create your account THEN select the subscription quota.

I'm not 100% positive of that, so will check the code as it has been some time since I looked at it, but you for sure need to turn off signups.

Yea thats how I have my site set up. After the member creates a free account they can upgrade to a subscription account. He was asking if they could purchase the subscription accounts directly on sign up. I tried it out and could not do that currently how the module was designed.

Yes you can purchase subscriptions directly on signup.

* logged out
* click subscribe
* land at foxycart
* pay the money
* click continue.

You return to your Jamroom site and are logged in. Your password is sent to the email you used at foxycart.
