Attached I have an image of what we are seeing
We have no control over how the artists label the songs for upload
Anyway to escape the characters so they don't get converted to the ascii codes?

Someone must have cut and pasted the title in - I see if there's an easy fix to handle it.

Thanks!

No the audio files are uploaded with those titles
They save them stupidly with gaps and code that is not recognised or escaped on call
Bob Marley & the whalers- This isn't the life.mp3
This has been a pain for me for about 4 years now
Any upload with an apostrophe or quotes or & signs etc screw up. This isn't the first time i've seen it ( before JR )
Screenshot of an example

EDIT:
So they are adding the titles with the erroneous characters?
I just changed a title but the mp3 still had them in and the player never showed them.
So we need to be able to escape them in the form designer ....if that makes sense.
I know what I mean lol

As long as you actually type in the name, apostrophes and other stuff should be handled correctly - the problem is when you copy something from a webpage (for example) an apostrophe is actually an "HTML Entity" (which is what we are seeing here - not ASCII) and when they paste that in, the entity is then re-encoded so you basically have double entity encoding.

OK so that is out of our hands.
Any fix or do we just put up with it?

I'm trying to reproduce this locally, but so far am having no luck. i.e. this song:

http://www.punkbandpromotions.com/mogel/audio/1399/05-elandes-elande

I cut and pasted it in here, and it all works (proper accents above the "a" characters).

Do you know if that artist put the song in themselves or was it imported? Try this - visit the page, hilight the name on the page where it looks correct, modify the song and paste that in as the new name (make sure it still looks correct) then save. Does that fix it in the player?

Thanks!

No , BA9801 Did. We have been adding all the music for all the moved accounts.

No it is exactly the same

Your log ins are still available on the site if you want to check it there?

Yeah I can't replicate this here, so I'll need to look at it on your site and see if I can spot an issue.

This should be fixed now in the Audio module 1.1.7 - update and let me know if that fixes it for you.

Hope this helps!
