You can import them by uploading an album. Click the * button on your profile. It uploads multiple songs @ once!

Brian had promised to build the jukebox importer for JR5 as it was in JR4. I have over 3000 songs with different artist .the jukebox importer is a good tool if you have ever used it.

This is still on my todo list - there's just been a lot of things ahead of it - it will get done but not in the next few weeks as I am wrapping up work on a large project. After that sometime though.

under "create album" there is no price set option, and the images don't a pair or the song player after album is created

Not yet - we had a really full week last week (dozens of module updates and releases). It's still on my todo, we just have not had much demand for it outside your request.

Hopefully soon!

Thanks!

You know @izhmel

You can use a html5 responsive player in the same sections which can be linked by a generated xml file?
That is what we are doing as we have a podcast section of almost 60gb uncompessed
We cant afford the double files space as they are already mp3 ( and we are on a huge dedi but if it was going to work everwhere we wouldn't mind the ogg size)

So we would rather bring them in via an external player that suits both areas.....mp3 and Ogg
As they are both used, know, and if you have a iP#### you can still hear the tunes
Not IOS etc rather android, than your songs will play if you have Ogg files attached.

So my opinion would be to add a player that imports, converts to each item, and plays in all players.

Because unfortunately, the jr player only caters for mp3's which doesn't work on about 30% of phones.
So forget the datastore in a way and bring in a html5 Responsive Player that works for you

the jPlayer that JR5 uses plays OGG no problem - our audio module just does not convert to it at this time. It's something on my TODO, but it's going to need a queue runner which would allow sites to "reconvert" audio files, and since that's not done yet either, the OGG support has been on hold.

It will come in the future though, but will require more disk space since you'll need both an MP3 and an OGG.

Hope this helps!

Would you be interested in sponsoring the development? I'd be willing to work on this over the weekend if you'd sponsor it (basically moves it to the front of my dev queue). I'll add it in to the Audio module as a tool and can release it next week.

If interested, let me know at support [at] jamroom [dot] net.

Thanks!
