Hello,

When we try to update Users Module, we get this message:
ERROR: unable to rename module symlink jrUser - check file permissions (3)

Please advise us on how to solve this problem. Thank you.

Hello,

Make sure you folder and file permissions are set to 755 for folders and 644 for files.

You may also check that your server meets the requirements to run Jamroom.

Server Requirements

Hope this helps!

Hi Douglas,
Thank you so much for your reply.
One last question: where do we set the folder and file permissions? Is it inside Jamroom system or inside our server?

You'll want to use an FTP program like Filezilla to CHMOD the folders and files permissions.

You could also contact your hosting provider about changing them as well.

Hope this helps!
