Recently PHP 8 was released and I wanted to just post a quick update about Jamroom support for PHP 8. Currently Jamroom will NOT work correctly on PHP 8 - this isn't due to the Jamroom code itself (which runs no problem on PHP 8) , but Jamroom relies on a number of 3rd party libraries,
One of the larger 3rd party libraries Jamroom uses is "Smarty" which is used for processing templates. Currently a version of Smarty that supports PHP 8 is in the works, but it's not released yet - once released we will check it out and incorporate it in to the Jamroom Core.
I will also be working through several other PHP libraries and updating them as needed as well.
So just a heads up
If you have any questions let me know and I can follow up here.
Thanks!
