Tonight I found myself shut out from my site. Since I cannot access the site, how can I update the security certificate?

Browsers report as follows.

1. Firefox:

Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue

Firefox detected an issue and did not continue to researchcooperative.org. The website is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time.

It’s likely the website’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely.

What can you do about it?

my-site.org has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

2. Compass:

This connection is not secure. The website may be impersonating my-site.org to steal your personal or financial information. You should go back to the previous page....

Safari warns you when you have an expired certificate. This website's certificate expired 3 days ago. This may happen if your website is misconfigured, an attacker has compromised your connection, or your system clock is incorrect.

Hello,

Posting issues like this in the forum will result in slower response times. Since you have priority support, it would be faster to send this type of issue directly to support for a faster response.

I'll open a tracker for us to get this looked at, but if you don't mind, go ahead and post this to the support center so we can get this fixed up.

Thanks!

No need to open a support ticket, this is fixed.

Let us know if you see any issues.

Thanks!

Looks all good now. Thanks very much. I checked and found no information about security certificates in the JR FAQ or documentation, but did find a note in the outline of JR hosting benefits: "Free SSL certificates for Jamroom sites on your server(s)." This is what I have, so I suppose the take home message for me (and others with JR hosting) is to go first to the JR support ticket system to get this fixed (as you suggested above), if the issue arises again.

Cheers
