Hi, I just had a member create a discussion in one of my JR site groups, where he embedded a YT livestream video, see here:
https://fotmd.com/strumelia/group_discuss/2803/a-livestream-test

I'm not sure if i want to allow this, since it might lead to various members just using my site to livestream their day or their random ponderings, as though my site were an instant audience for their lengthy broadcasts.
I know that when one embeds a YT video into a jamroom discussion post it does not actually use any site resources, since the video is playing from youtube, correct?
Question #1: I want to make sure that a YT livestream video (this one was 33 minutes long) is not using resources on my site in some weird way I'm not aware of...?
Question #2: Is this livestream video he posted simply opening and playing within the discussion post the same way that any normal YT video link would open and play right there within a post, the same way?
Question #3: Is there a way I can code to prevent such livestream videos from opening and playing in posts WITHOUT preventing all the normal (non-livestream) Youtube videos from opening and playing within posts, the way I currently have them set to do? I like having links to youtube vids open up right within posts, but I want to discourage people from utilizing this feature to hold livestream reality shows of their daily lives on my site. ;) (that said, I wouldn't mind them just posting a link to their YT livestream url).
If there was a way to allow normal YT vids to open from links as I currently do, but prevent YT livestream vids from doing so, I'd need very specific instructions as to how to do that. Thanks!

BTW I just looked at the code of that member's discussion post, and it simply contained the youtube URL, so I guess it's functioning the same as the regular YT vids do when a link to the video is posted. So I guess that answers question #2. But can i get answers for the other two questions? thank youuuu :)

Embedded YouTube videos do not use any of your site's resources, as such in that no datastore 'items' are created and no disk space is used (other than for the post itself).

Live YouTube videos, as far as I can tell, have just a regular YT URL that includes the normal 11 character unique ID, so as such, I can't see any way of automatically identifying a live feed in order to filter it out.

Can you post this issue as a new topic. Also post there the YouTube URL so that we can try it on one of our test sites.
Thanks
