Greetings all

Busy with a new Jamroom, have not used it since the new system a few years back.

In a nutshell i am looking to find out what modules i need in order to achieve the following.

I want to archive artists from my country and allow them to sell music and keep all the money.
i would like the funds to go direct to them and not pass via the system or me.

And advice would be great

Hi - Welcome back to Jamroom :-)

Quote: I want to archive artists from my country and allow them to sell music and keep all the money.

The two modules you would need to do this would be the Audio and PayPal modules -

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/12/audio
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/104/paypal-buy-it-now

Can you explain more how you would want this to work? Would users just buy 'credits' or would they earn them somehow? We have the Stream Pay module - https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/245/profile-stream-pay - but that would need to work with the Payment module and not the PayPal, but that would mean any artist payments would go through the system and not directly.

Thanks

We are in Africa, most sites wont stream or allow our artists to get one.

Can a user log on, buy say $50 in credit then use the credit to shop around, not everyone has paypal here in Africa and is painful to say the least trying to make a system work for Africa specific

There is no means for users to buy credit and if we were to do it as a custom module, it would need to work with the Payment module and not the PayPal module, so as mentioned above, any subsequent sales would need to go through the system and not directly to your users.
The Payment module supports either PayPal, Stripe or FoxyCart payment gateways. FoxyCart, in turn, supports many other gateways - See https://wiki.foxycart.com/gateways/start - Are any of those more supported in Africa?

Thank you, i think the Paypal option, while not perfect is going to be the way forward for us.

See what happens this side, we just went on a 21 day lockdown for Covid19.
JAMROOM PREMIUM is more than likely the way forward , need to just see if i still got a job in 21 day lockdown before i launch the project.
But if i calculate the costs of the ones need and want, the JAMROOM PREMIUM option is what i should aim for.

Not directly, but it might be worth you checking out the available FoxyCart gateways to see if any of those support it.
