On the home page of Nova Dark is a section called "Latest Articles" and I'm not sure what is supposed to show up in there… Mine is blank. What is supposed to be showing in there?

By default, this is a list of the last three 'page' items created by admin (profile ID = 1).
See the index.tpl template line 172 -
{jrCore_list module="jrPage" order_by="_created desc" limit="3" search1="page_location = 0" search2="_profile_id = 1" template="index_content.tpl"}

Thanks Paul... I have 2 Pages that I created as ID 1 User Named KeyTar… I checked the line above, and it is the same as in the template. The pages still do not show... What am I doing wrong? LOL.

Make sure that the pages you created have the 'Page Lcation' option set to 'Visible on Main Site'.
Also clear the caches after doing this.

Thanks again... I admittedly am unfamiliar with the NEW Nova LOL. A lot has happened since JR4! I feel like a nube, but I will leave this thread in hopes it might help someone else. Hi to Brian!

How do I increase the size of the article snippet? (i.e. from 50 words to 100).

The content is truncated by characters, not words.

In your index_conent.tpl file, find this:

{$item.page_body|jrCore_format_string:$item.profile_quota_id|nl2br|jrCore_strip_html|truncate:180}

and change the 180 to something larger to suite your needs.

Hope this helps!

Found the line, changed to 400; reset caches, but changes don't show on the home page of Nova Dark. See Latest Articles (it's in archives now)… Artist Or Member? What am I doing wrong? BTW, I'm now on life support (LOL)… When you get into the site to make sure I haven't destroyed myself, maybe you could take a quick look at this too... https://Musicians.Exchange

After making changes in the template, you'll want to go back to the template tab ( core/skin_admin/templates/skin=jrNova ) and check the active check box for the modified template and then click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom, after that make sure to reset your cache.

Hope this helps!
