solved Spam Blocker query

Hi. We have Akismet spam blocker (with its key) working on our site and it's very helpful to get the "off-site url detected by a user in probation".
I was looking at the Quota compare table today, and I notice that "Spam Blocker" is not set as active on any of the quotas on site. See screen shot. I was expecting it to be set for all quotas.
Does a 'pass' on the Quota Config for Spam Blocker have some other effect than applying the spam blocker to that quota? Does the spam blocker apply to all quotas while in the probation period, regardless of the Quota Config setting?
Thanks.

Checking for posted URLs for users in probation is a global setting so if checked, happens regardless.
The module's quota settings, if enabled, will check user posted text fields for further spam, even after the probation period. Presumable you do not have these checked, hence the 'inactive' notifications in the quota compare table.
Hope that makes sense?

Ah, that makes perfect sense, thanks Paul. I did read the documentation, but I hadn't grasped that difference.
