solved Unable to communicate with Update Server?

I'm getting the message unable to communicate with update server when trying to upgrade jamroom from 5.1 to 6 and when trying to install modules.

This is the error that comes up in the activity log...

[admin]: jrCore_load_url: https://www.jamroom.net/networkmarket/sdownload/jrMailGun/CCcu1zucEOO0kGBwKLK0 returned error #35 (error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol)

That's a big jump. Send us your admin login details to support at jamroom dot net along with a link to this thread and I'll login and see if I can see whats up.

Might require downloading the jamroom core from here:
https://www.jamroom.net/products

and uploading that via SFTP over what you have right now if the marketplace is the issue.

Sounds like cURL was not compiled with SSL support on your server - you need to make sure open SSL is installed and enaled and cURL supports SSL.

Well here's what I did....I deleted 5.1 and just installed version 6 and the marketplace and system update works now
