solved Unable to update modules

When trying to update from system updates we get this error.

error installing skin update: Follow Me

When trying to update it indicates

NOT FOUND

The Page You Requested Was Not Found!

It appears it's trying to find the update from Jamroom. Once it can't connect it's Page Not Found.

Once I go back it says - unable to change permissions on directory /modules/jrPayment - unable to install module

Sounds like your php config for your server isn't allowing jamroom to change folder permissions. check your SYSTEM CHECK to see all the lights are green.

This is red.

Data Directories data/logs is not writable fail All directories must be writable by web user!

That's the problem, not all directories are writeable by the web user. Contact your hosting provider and ask them to correct the situation.

The host has no info. How can I update the Jamroom modules without the market place? Where can I find the files?

The problem is with the server. Your server is saying NO when jamroom says "I just need to write this to the error log/ activity log/ (other) log". That's a serious issue that needs to be fixed.

In fixing that issue ( allowing the web user to write to the file system ) you will also fix the marketplace issue.
