Just purchased the video plugin after finally getting a file to load we get this message "This video file is currently being processed and will appear here when complete". This was about an hour ago with no motion.

Any ideas?

Check your queue viewer:
http://mixbizz.com/beatz/core/dashboard/queue_viewer

It is possible that the binary files that convert the videos isn't setup correctly for your server. In which case, you may need to contact your hosting company for assistance.

This may be helpful as well:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/howto/4641/howto-use-a-different-ffmpeg-binary

The binary files for converting audio and video are located in your modules/jrSystemTools/tools directory and permissions set to 755.

Hope this helps!

also check
ACP -> MODULES -> CORE -> SYSTEM CORE -> TOOLS -> SYSTEM CHECK

to make sure all the lights are green.

Thanks,

Updated jrSystemTools to 755. It's saying that the video converting.

All green lights under system tools in System Check.

The module was originally loaded via ftp by the guy that set it up. It never worked because it wasn't purchased at that time.

Should we remove the module and re-install?

Where possible use the marketplace to add the modules. FTP upload will not effect the modules performance, if its on the server it will work.

Think the systemTools issue was the core issue probably.

Still unclear of the issue,

Server updated queue appears to be stuck video will not convert.

Usually reasons the file will not convert are:
* the system has orange lights in the system check that need to be addressed
* the jrSystemTools module is not installed
* other server restriction is in place causing the jamroom system not to be able to function correctly.

The location to look to understand which it is is:
* the error log in the ACP
* the system check tool in the ACP
* server error logs.

You need to locate the cause of the issue so we can help you further.

Got it,

We already have a video site just wanted to bring something new to our users. Is there anyway to transfer the funds to a different module?

Thought this would be plug and play.

The Video works 'plug and play' on many hundreds of Jamroom sites. If it passes all the Jamroom checks outlined above, then its likely to be a server issue, so you (or your hosts) need to check the server logs as detailed.
Note that video conversions are very server intensive and sometimes hosting companies will have configured their servers to detect a user's high demand on resources, and kill that process. This will happen particularly on shared servers.

If you do not want to persue this further, we can credit you the cost of the Video module.

Yep - it really is "plug and play" - it sounds like your server may not be setup to properly do conversions. Note that the module is _very_ descriptive of any issues it runs into - you will see them logged to your Activity Log.

I want to thank Jamroom for all the great advise,

I had to go back over every single setting in the server and I think I found the issue. We were running some default settings in php. After increasing the limit videos are now converting and playable.

How can I increase the file upload size? Tried setting the server upload amount at 1200mb but still getting 125mb max size in JR.

Some videos are larger than the max amount.

If you are referring to the max_upload, you should make 3 times the amount of the largest file your going to be uploading.

Hope this helps!

We appear to be having the same issue.

After all the adjustments its been 2 days and this video still hasn't converted.

We talked with the host had our admin go in and re-follow the instructions..

Can someone kindly let us know what we are missing?

If it was easy to tell you "what you are missing" we would have already done that :)

There's a server issue that is affecting your conversions. If you can give me root access I can tell you what it is - you need to send it to support [at] jamroom [dot] net, along with the URL to your Jamroom site and the master admin login.

Thanks!
