I may be a bit of a newb but i've enabled developer mode, cleared the cache, followed all instructions i can find and my top header is still bland and grey. How do I put a background on my pages (disregarding profiles with a custom background)
also how do i get this header to be a different color.. or to be an image if that works better.
Thanks a mil!
J.

Those are all the correct things to do after you have changed the color.

This is a video about finding the correct color to change:

so the color says blue, shows gray and i don't see any color coding in the source code. I see the modules colorpicker that looks like it should be able to me modified. I don't know what I'm doing wrong here.

That is unusual, should be working. I'll check it out.

Looks like the issue is you've got some broken CSS in the custom styling. Not sure how that would happen. Suggest using the RESET SKIN STYLE and start again.

If you plan to make a lot of skin changes, the File System method will give you the most flexibility.

after you clone the skin:
https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/skin-design-guide/839/creating-your-own-skin-clone-from-an-existing-skin

You can adjust the sites CSS directly from your clone skin's *.css files found via SFTP at:
/public_domain/skins/YOUR-SKIN/css/(css files are here)

Docs: "Connecting to your server using SFTP"
