Can existing mp3 files be added to jrAudio without uploading?
We have about 50gb of podcasts we would like to add to a created Radio station page and uploading them will be daunting as they are already on our server.

Not at this time, but another user has asked for the same thing to be developed:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/using-jamroom/5531/bulk-upload

If you guys want to sponsor that to push that to the front of our work queue let me know...

Thanks!

Yeah thanks @brian. No Thats not what we want.
The files are already on our dedi server.
We want to be able to access already uploaded files. mp3s etc via the jrAudio
I spoke to @michael and he said this can't be done due to the datastore , unless we wanted to add a different player.
I understand why, so we will just upload them .
Be quicker to add the keys then add the files that are already there ie. modify the DB.
Not an issue but just takes more time.
But now that we are with JR we should be cool for upgrades as we aren't changing again :D

I understand. However, the idea is that there would be a module and you would simply run an import tool and point it to a directory on the server that already contains all your files, then press "go". It would import all the files, creating the necessary profiles and DS entries so they would show up on your site just as if the band had signed up and uploaded their tracks.

So that may not be what you need, but wanted to be sure you knew what I was thinking.

Hope this helps!

Oh ok on second thoughts thats exactly what I meant.
When you said a bulk uploader I thought that actually meant uploading directly from your computer.
No that is exactly what we were looking for :D

Yeah - that's why I followed up, as I thought that might be what you need :)

Perfect, apart from the smiley, which is currently ugly.

The module does support users adding their own smily sets.
