Image gallery only works with https websites

I tried to activate the Image Gallery model but see this only works with https websites.
Is there a work-around for this, or does it only work with Adobe SDK?

If you are referring to the image editor, you have to enter your Adobe Client ID and Secret in the Profiles > Image Galleries > Global Config > Online Image Editing tab.

gallery/admin/global/section=online+image+editing

You can create your Adobe account here:
https://creativesdk.adobe.com/

Here is the help section that explains how to get the Client ID and Client Seceret:

Enter your Client ID key that was created for your Web App in the Adobe "My Apps" section.

If you do not have an Adobe account, you can signup and get a free key here:

https://creativesdk.adobe.com

After logging in, click on My Apps, then +New Application.

Enter the Application Name (your site name) and select Web for the Platform.

Enter a description and then click Add Application.

Your Client ID and Client Secret will be created and shown to you - enter the Client ID here and the Client Secret below.

Yes, the image editor within the Image Gallery module.
The Adobe site has moved (see image)
Adobe will only allow users to use this if their website is secure - https. Which my website is not.
https://console.adobe.io/integrations/new
Both the "default redirect URI" and the "redirect URI pattern" (when setting up the app) have to be https URLs, and both are required fields.
Will the Image Gallery work without having the Adobe editor?

yes the image gallery will work without the Adobe editor. It will just be missing the button on the individual photo update screen that allows the photo to be edited.

You can see the editor at 2:30 ish of this video:

That button will be missing, thats all.

So Adobe buys aviary.com releases their editor as their own product, then shuts that product down.

My low opinion of Adobe just went lower. :(

Yep that's big companies for you, they buy products to get the engineers behind and then leave all the users of their original product left hanging.
