Can user's avatars change to show they are online

Hi

I really would love a feature whereby if a member is actually online at that moment is visually represented by their avatar....just as Facebook would show a green dot on their avatar....is such a thing possible even if it's by way of an extra module?

You can see we have that feature here in the forums: (screenshot)

Its within the last 5 min ish, not exact.

Thank you very much for your answer....but is there anyway for the actual avatar to have a green dot on it when it's appearing to the left of each respect post on the post ....Facebook style?

yes, but at a cost.

the forums are cached, so if you're going to require that all forum posts everywhere change every time a user is online/offline its only going to update for as long as your cache is set to.

If you have a 5 min cache, then it will be as accurate as that.
