investigating 'Birth of Child' defaults to 'Seattle, King County, Washington, USA'

When I create a new family member via 'Link to new person', the location of the relationship event between those individuals defaults to 'Seattle'. For example, I create a family member with a place of birth, then I add that person's father - Genosis creates a 'Birth of Child' event on the timeline, but with 'Seattle' as the location, rather than the location specified in the child's profile. How can I get it to use the specified location of the child, rather than defaulting to Seattle?

In the short term, if you edit the birth location and remove or update the location field, it will correctly show from then on.

Just to add to this (in case it isn't already known), the date for these events also defaults to May 1950 (although one event was also dated August 1951).
