solved Profile Domains Module Examples

We are interested to see the "Profile Domains" Module in action on a live site.
Are there any public examples of any JR sites using Profile Domains Module ?

Have it setup on my dev machine, not live though.

My main site is http://yoursite.com one of the profiles on that site is yoursite.com/michael when I turn the Profile Domians module on for that domain and map it to michael.com whenver I visit any link pointing to yoursite.com/michael, i get redirected to michael.com

so if the audio module is on it would normally show for that profile at yoursite.com/michael/audio but now it shows at michael.com/audio

Someone in the community may have a live setup they are willing to show you.

In your example above: michael.com = yoursite.com/michael : Does this new profile domain act like a group? I read somewhere profile domains could operate like "mini-sites" or groups. For example when new User joins michael.com - are they joining onto that profile only, or do they join the main site http://yoursite.com ?

We hope to understand the difference between Groups, and Profile Domains.

go to this links you will see Profile Domain in actions

you will see "tarik brain brain" click in the profile name and it will take you the domain i have customize for that profile.

here is the url linked to 
https://wowmusic.fm/tarik-main-brain
will be redirected to
http://tarikmainbrain.com/

check the image attached to this post you will see the backend

No - when a user clicks on "login" or "signup" they go to the main site. ONLY the pages of the profile mapped to the domain will use the domain - all the "other" links on your page - i.e. privacy policy, header menu items, etc will all point to the main site URL.

Profile Groups and Custom Domains are not related:

Custom Domain - simply maps a domain that is DIFFERENT than the main site domain to a profile. So for example - on out site here "jamroom.net" I could add a custom domain called "brianjamroom.com" and map it to MY "brian" profile.

Profile Groups - allows profiles to create "groups" that share an interest - i.e. I could create a group called "Jamroom Developers" on my profile, and it would have it's own discussions and pages.

Thanks for all the replies - much clearer now about Profile Domains module.
Profiles Domains seem like another very powerful and great feature of the JR platform :)
