Hi everyone,

I ask about this request before... Having the  Event and Blog module able to Upload Multi Pictures Like the Gallery Module all at one shot..one process to create an event gallery...-select images to upload.

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/my_posts/28061/having-an-event-upload-multi-pictures-like-gallery-module

I know you guys mentioned a while back in regards to a topic i created..that with the form designer you can add another location to add another image and so on..but that is not the same as uploading a bunch of images under a gallery of Event images that relates to that specific event.

This is something that makes sense for each module to have..(at least it makes sense to me...😆) and if not the blog at least the event module because of all the pics that is being taken when experiencing an event and i believe we would like to add many images to an event in one upload not two of three different image upload location create by the form designer ..too much time consuming

Select the images you would like to upload to this Event Gallery. You can select multiple images and all will be uploaded to the new Event Gallery.

The reason you're feeling some resistance from here to say "Great idea, we'll get that added!" is because the initial image is used as the definitive image for that event in lists, in media scan cards, in og:tags .....

If that single image for the event was changed to be a bunch of event images, then you need to define a specific image for the one to be used as the main image.

That makes the Event module different to how the Blog module works. The blog module has its main image for the blog thats used in the same way.

So the suggestion you got before to use the Form Designer to add a multiple upload image field for the extra images associated with the event and leave the current image for the events "Promotional Poster" image is my suggestion.

Then you can adjust the events item detail page and show all those extra images in whatever way you like.

It would be one extra form field added to your events creation page and you get exactly what you're after.

If you're unsure how to do it we can walk through it here if you like.

YOUR TOO MUCH MICHAEL..lol...YOU GAVE ME A BIG SMIRK with your response...
"you're feeling some resistance from here to say Great idea, we'll get that added!"

I really do enjoy many of your repsonses back to the staff question..:)
you make people think..which is a good thing!

ummmmmmmm...i got you...:)

So it does allow me to add a field for multiple images..when i asked about it the first time..i was able to add a new field for just 1 image and then I added another field for another image..hehehhehe..and so on...so I just must of misunderstood what I can do.

And i do understand what your telling me about what makes sense for the Event and blog module.

I'm going to take a shot at it on my own again and see what happens..will keep you posted.

Many blessing for all your help Michael!
