So, in one of my forums, when I submit a reply to a post, the reply doesn't show up...wha could be the cause?

Try changing to a default skin, see if it works there.

It does not work on any skin either.

Also, my issue with getting files attached does not resolve either.

What do I do next?

We can see that replies are working here, so I'm fairly certain it is going to be related to any customizations you've made to the forum. Are you running a "stock" Profile Forum module?

Thanks!

A great way to think about asking a question is: If you knew you weren't going to get a reply for another week what would you want to be in that reply?

Ideally you'd like the answer to your question, not a question asking for clarification or more information.

In order for us to answer your question we need to know what the question is. This is a good structure:

------
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.
2.
3.

What is the expected result?

What happens instead?

Please provide any additional information, code samples or screenshots
-----------

Quote: .....Also, my issue with getting files attached does not resolve either.

What do I do next? ....
Just can't be answered without asking for more info.

I believe so but, but I posted an image of the text editor and how it was missing a border (in another JR help post), so it appears something was altered during the customization.

Actually Brian I am having the same issue. It seems that if a member uses quotation marks around their name, you can't reply. Can this be fixed?

I suppose what you aren't seeing (what I was thinking) that I had sent in 2 tickets about this issue and I had shared images and more detailed info there with Brian. Apologies for the confusion.

Yep, this thread is very confusing to me. Generally I try to answer the question in the title, then mark it solved.

I'm sure anyone who can see the issue understands the issue as perrie says she can see it too, but I cant grasp from the information provided how to see the issue so I can recreate it for testing.

OK I will try again.
In my forum, a specific user: @¹²-ᴼ-ᶜᶫᵒᶜᵏ who when you go to his page uses quotation marks around his name "¹² ᴼ'ᶜᶫᵒᶜᵏ", when other users try to respond to his comments, the reply button does not produce a reply box. When I remove the quotation marks from his name, this solves the problem.

You can see it here: http://thenewstalkers.com/community/discussion/27149/#cm418241

I've tried with a user here
"¹²-ᴼ-ᶜᶫᵒᶜᵏ"
and still can't replicate the issue of not being able to reply. Despite the unusual characters used (they're small and stuck at the top of the row), the quoting system still worked.

The URL did help a lot, thanks perrie it tells me that we're talking about the discussion module here.
