I created a private group for my most advanced students to discuss a specialized topic.

To do this, I installed the Groups module and Group Discussions. Enabled Groups only on my Community Quota, which contains only the Community Profile where my Site Forum lives. I created agroup there, set it as private, and invited select users to apply for admission. So far so good.

Then one of the group members started a discussion. I went to her post intending to comment on it but found no comment box. I could read the post but had no way to respond to it. I could star a new discussion, but there too, no comment box for further discussion appeared.

I logged out of my admin account and logged into my testuser account (as a standard user, also a member of the private group). With this account, I see a comment box and can add to the discussion.

But when I log back in as myself, on my regular admin account, The comment box is not there.
I tried deactivating myself from the group and then re-activating... but still see no comment boxes when logged in as me. I need to be able to comment on my group members posts. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Hi Les - I've got this fixed up for you.
The problem was that as admin, when you look at a profile, in this case Community, you take on that profile's identity, and that includes the profile's quota settings. The Community profile did not have the Comment module enabled in its quota, hence, no comment form. Have enabled the Comment module for the Community quota and all is ok.
