solved Delete buttons for imported forum categories are not active

I have a set of imported forum categories that I wish to edit. The modify button is active, but the delete button is as an inactive shadow of itself.

Please see the attachment.

Is there any way to select and delete an imported forum category that is no longer needed?

Use the 'transfer' button to transfer out the threads in the category you want to delete. Once its empty of threads the delete button should work.

I'm curious; what's the recommended procedure for deleting ALL the topics (threads) from a specific category?

I don't think there is a shortcut for this. You'd have to delete them one at a time hand hand.

After deleting the threads one by one, I went back to the Categories tab and could delete the topic.

It took a little time, but was not difficult. Thanks.
