Is it possible to control which items are saved to the recycle bin?

Control in what way?
What is the goal- to reduce the size of the recycle bin, or to make it easier to browse through?...

No - All deleted JR items go into the recycle bin and are deleted permanently from there after (by default) 3 days (ACP Core settings to change that value). You can search the recycle bin by module if that makes it easier to browse.

@Strumelia - I was hoping to do a bit of both, but mostly to find things more easily - ours seems to contain loads of deleted comments, tags etc. We would only want to restore deleted profiles, galleries, groups - the big stuff that may have been deleted in error.

Hi Lorna - I think you'll be ok as things are then. Just make sure the recycle bin is set to auto delete after 'x' days then use the search option to just show the 'big stuff'.
