Hey Nate :)

Just a thought here regarding these awesome new skins. Now that we have the ability via custom domains to invite artists to point their domains to our jamroom sites, Jamroom has become much more of a "platform" with capabilities that rival Wordpress Multi-sites.

It would be awesome if your new Single Front Pages could be packaged into a Front Page Module for profiles. It would be like Profile Tweaks on steroids.

What do you think?

What is a "Front Page" - do you mean a splash page?

Sorry :) you gotta love my old school terms.

Front Page / Splash Page / Home Page / Welcome page / Index Page - they are all the same to me. So yes.

I am very impressed with the admin interface for building out the splash page in Nate's skins. Anybody that has experience with wordpress templates will feel at home and easily make the move over to the faster and much more secure Jamroom!

I don't think we're talking about the same thing here. The new skins feature the ability to have cover image - i.e. an image at the TOP of the profile. This is different than a splash or front page, which is a page that comes up that covers the profile and shows a "splash" image that must be clicked on to continue to the profile.

Let me know which of those 2 you mean.

Again, I am thinking along the lines of ProfileTweaks on Steroids. A module made just to give a profile a SUPER home page. Using all of the user friendly page set-up tools already built into the new skins admin area... (screenshot) The rest of the profile area would remain as structured by the skin selected in the ProfileTweeks [customize] tab. This would just offer a really professional home page for our members.

Skin Config options are all dependent on the skin, and affect mostly areas OUTSIDE the profile, so the profile tweaks module will not work with the skin config settings. It also needs to work with ALL skins, regardless of their HTML structure.

If you need more than that, you'll want to look at creating some custom SKINS that you can then let your profiles select as part of the profile tweaks module.

Yes sir, already doing that. I was suggesting a *NEW* module that would allow for such an option. I think it would be an easy sell and people would really like it.

Just sharing a brainstorm. ;)
