I am trying to install JR in a sub-directory folder where I have WP installed in the main directory. I am using cloudflare as nameserver. It seems to have installed but I am not able to create a user. See: http://bizsynth.com/StarTreeTV/user/signup

Looks like you might have misconfigured cloudflare - the reason it is not working is that the request URL is being rewritten to:

http://eventsynthnet.ipagemysql.com/StarTreeTV

Which is incorrect. Disable cloudflare of configure it properly for your domain and it should work.

I just realized I typed the wrong thing in the title of this thread and in my original question. I am trying to install in a sub-directory. I am also running WP in multisite mode and using a domain mapping plugin. So it may be even more complicated. I do have other scripts successfully running in sub-directories though.

Whatever it is, something is rewriting the URL so it is incorrect - you'll need to disable/fix that. As long as the URL that is being sent is different than the URL being served, it will not work.

When you click on "create account", this is the URL that is trying to be used:

http://eventsynthnet.ipagemysql.com/StarTreeTV

Which you can clearly see is NOT correct.
