solved Group Mailer Query

I have a question about this excellent and invaluable new feature...

How are group members identified for the purposes of receiving the emails? I ask because having tested this successfully in a small way, I sent out a group email to 640 members of one of my painting groups. I got a note from a user to say she got the email but is not a member of the group, and I can't find her in the list of group members.

When she looks at the group home page, it has the green Join button, indicating that she's not joined previously.

I wonder if this might be a Ning import glitch, but not sure how to check.

Daft question I know, but how can you tell which groups a user has joined, without signing in to their account?

I must say (again) this is a fantastic feature for which I am most grateful.

Can you let me know the group and member? I'll checkout your database directly and see what is going on.

Group id 14 (Acrylic Painting) and member https://pmp-art.com/suhalfwerk
I have asked if she was on Ning and might have been in the group there. No answer as yet.

Hi Lorna
I'm not seeing any issues with the database tables - suhalfwerk is definately not a member of of the Acrylic Painting group so shouldn't have got an email.
Can you find out and let me know (in a ticket) what email address she received the newsletter on?
Also, was this the only 'erroneous' email received do you know?
Thanks
Paul

Will do. She was not a member on the old Ning site and has never joined the Acrylic group (she doesn't paint in Acrylics).
I'll raise a ticket with the email address.
I have had no other reports of non-members getting the group email, but of course that doesn't mean that none did. I will update if I hear of any others.

This has been fixed in the latest release (V1.0.1) of the module.
