Sorry to report I am still struggling with this issue
In system core I have added ALLOW_ALL_DOMAINS for streaming media but that has never worked so i have continued to add urls of stream to allow in the iframe control module
This morning I have added
https://interactive.tegna-media.com
which it will not accept and returns error message about no www. allowed
so I add it like this
interactive.tegna-media.com
and continue to get the same message as it wont allow the player so i head back to SYSTEM CORE and add the entire domain there- then integrity check/reset caches then go and view the page and get the error "Iframe Not Allowed"

Can anyone tell me how to shut this feature COMPLETELY OFF once and for all where it NEVER returns in my lifetime?

I don't care abot the security issues in this instance- I just want to quickly embed videos
Thanks

First, there is no need in entering any more URL's into the Allowed Domains field in the Core > Global Config section, ALLOW_ALL_DOMAINS should be all you need there and URL's are not what should be entered anyway, only domain names, ie. https://www.youtube.com should just be youtube.com.

For iframes, the domains should be added to the iframe modules Allowed Domains section. Site > IFrame Control > Allowed Domains. Note that you can't add the http or www to this section as well. Just the main domain will do.

If you can let me know where your seeing the issue, I'll check it out for you.

Thanks!

Thanks Douglas
That was my understanding concerning ALLOW_ALL_DOMAINS but after doing that it still would not work ( about a year or more ago) but I noticed it started allowing them after adding them below it...so I just went with it :)
Here is a link where I am seeing the issue BUT even with ALLOW ALL DOMAINS as the setting I still have to add the short url to EVERY iframe video or they wont show up- that has been my workaround forever...until today when even that did not work for a particular domain..( I think the cause is special characters in the url)
Here is the url of that page

Thank you again!

I've turned off validate iframes for the Roughneck City quota in your ACP > System Core > Core > Quota Config, let me know if that will work for you?

Thanks!

Thanks Douglas- I am embarrassed that all this time I did not know it was there. To me in my situation the logical place to turn on/off would be in the controls for the iframe module- but now I understand its done in this location and manner because it needs to be allowed for different quotas
Makes sense now after the fact- thank you again for setting it right!
