When will a "tool" be available to sync my Members name + email with Aweber.com, i see you already have mailchimp. If you had this feature... I would be more likely to JOIN JAM ROOM =)

THANKS!

There are no plans at this time to create a module that works with aweber - if a user steps forward and wants to sponsor it's development, then it can be created (that's how the Mailchimp module was created).

I know that's not what you were looking for, so sorry about that...

@brian I never realized that you guys entertained sponsoring module creation. That's actually really popular on the IPB forum and there have been several modules created that way. Maybe putting it out there that you guys are open to people paying to sponsor module development, more people might be willing to help get something they want.

That has always been an option but yes, maybe we haven't promoted it as such because we are all pretty busy anyway, and any sponsored module ideas are considered based on their usefulness to all, and not just something unique a user wants. Having said that, at least 2/3 modules in the Marketplace now have resulted for sponsored development.

2/3 that's an interesting number. I just thought you guys made those because they were useful mods. Good to know that you guys entertain module sponsorships. :-)

Just to be clear, 2/3 = two or three and not two thirds of the modules ;-)

Maybe a crowdfund module for JR development could be a good thing on this site. Put out a list of some of the items you guys want to create and have a sponsorship button with set amounts to donate and a goal of how much gets the mod done.

Some people might not know what they want until they see the idea and then go "wow, I need that for my site, I'm going to sponsor the development of that mod". Then, once the mod is done, allow the sponsors to get the module a month or two before the rest of the community and maybe a banner or something on their profile that says they donated toward the module creation.

That's not a bad idea - we'll kick that around and talk about it.

Thanks!
