A question about photo quality

Hi everyone.

I have been trying to resolve an issue with my photo quality. It seems that the high quality photos when using embed, come out at a much poorer quality. We have messed around with the image size, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Any ideas?

It all depends on the size of the image being requested, and what size it is being used at. Do you have a URL to an image you feel has poor quality? Most likely the original image is poor quality.

He is a professional photographer, so the original image is superb. We have been trying to figure this out for sometime. It seem that the only way he can get a good quality posting is to upload it at 512 and then reduce the size of the frame.

Without a URL to the image you are seeing an issue with it's impossible to tell.

you might try uploading it as size 1280
example http://mysite.com/upimg/image/upimg_file/774/1280
Then in the code on the page where you are displaying the image change the "1280" to the size you want

Perry, just a thought- have you checked your settings in your Image Core module? Look at the Quota Config settings for each quota, and check the "maximum image file size" you have set for each quota.

Adding in the steps you are taking make it much easier to help you, without them we have to guess at what you are doing, if we guess wrong you get unhelpful answers.

Are you uploading via the jrUpimg module to embed? or are you embedding something that is on a profile via the gallery module?
